Took inbound calls as well as making outbound calls to members and doctors offices in order to assist with setting up specialty medication deliveries handled by Accredo Health Group. Queued requests to appropriate department in order to expedite orders as needed in order to ensure medication was received by patient in as timely a manner as possible.
Took inbound member services calls to give order status updates, as well as processing refills, faxing doctors offices for renewals and escalating calls as needed to supervisor or pharmacist for further assistance.
Also given the opportunity to work as a Subject Matter Expert helping train new hires on standard operating procedures and how best to handle prescription inquiries from Express Scripts members.

I was willing to be available to work odd hours as North Campus Housing Office which was open 24 hours a day. The primary duties of the desk attendant were to help students resolve any issues, such as lockouts, noise complaints, and maintenance related problems in person or by phone.

I had the opportunity to bring the sport of tennis to junior high and high school aged kids. I gained valuable experience learning how to handle all the responsibilities of being an athletics coach.
The most important thing I learned from this job was the value of patience and having an unselfish attitude. Also learned the importance of setting realistic goals over a certain period of time as well as the necessity of planning ahead in order to be prepared.

Learned what it’s like to work a grueling 8 to 5 job working in the summer heat doing construction work on the new otter habitat at the Alamogordo Zoo.
Gave me an opportunity to appreciate what it’s like to construct a building from scratch and to appreciate seeing the results of your efforts in a concrete form. Also motivated me to pursue an education so I would not have to do this for a living!
