I already had the speed and being very observant part of bartending down when I started here. Working here is where I really learned to work on my salesmanship (selling $200 bottles of wine and a $100 steak to go with it) as well as the mixology side of bartending. My history of cooking for my previous career really pulled me through. I learned to make shrubs and a lot of different flavored syrups. Everything was made from scratch to order (even the sweet and sour and grenadine!).

This was a finer dining place (wine bottle service, dinner plates $30 and upward, mise en place for apps, salads, soups, dinner, and desert). The servers had 5-10 table sections with those tables being 4-8 tops. I learned a lot about the art of multitasking here.
I spent five years working as a cook and two years as a server. The combination of these job skills has proved to transfer over to bartending seamlessly. I have been bartending for a little over two years now and with the different jobs I’ve had I’ve become very well rounded. I take pride in the drinks I make and my customers are number one because their repeat business is my business and the more they like my drinks the more they buy. My best qualities as an employee are my punctuality, smile, hard work that I put in, and my skill level. I am looking for a good company to work for where I can come in and do my thing while having a good time therefore giving the customers a good time.
