Re: Machinist position
From: Larry Moriello
Thank you for your consideration of and attention to this cover letter/resume of introduction. I am seeking a position with a company to achieve my goal of transitioning back into the industry with the skills that this day and age require.
I have been out of the industry for the past 20 plus years, beginning in 1988, when I left my trade as a machinist to pursue a career in the food service industry. It is time to return to the job I truly enjoyed. By attending classes to gain proficiency in a new set of skills necessary to achieve this transition and return to this industry is and will be an asset to any shop in which I may be employed.
However, I feel confident that ANY ENTRY LEVEL CNC OR MANUAL MACHINIST position being offered is one that I can perform the duties and responsibilities of with/without further training, and, I can become a more valuable asset as my training continues
Given a chance to interview and get my foot in the door would be appreciated.
My previous work experience and skill set information as it pertains to the machining industry is as follows:
