Creative and expressive translation as a means of adequate author-reader communication - that's my strongest professional life stand

Objective: a position of a translator (Eng-Ukr, Ukr-Eng)

Education: Bachelor of Arts (cum laude, graduated in 2015, proceeding with my master’s degree). Major field of study - English Philology/Translation/ Literary Criticism. French as a second language. – Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University, Institute of Philology.

Social activity and job-related interests: volunteering campaigns, educational conferences, student academic contests. Participant of the Work&Travel USA program (May-September 2013), foreign languages exchange clubs, participant of the seminar course “American studies club” organized by the US Embassy in Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University (October-December 2014). Constant communication with native speakers.

Experience: language tutoring, articles translation (diverse thematics), news abstracts translation, reviews, translation of business and personal corresponence. Actively involved in linguistic analysis and literary criticism. Ukrainian and Russian being my native languages, I can provide a high-quality translation from/to these languages.

Skills and qualities

Languages: English – proficiency, French – upper intermediate, Ukrainian and Russian – mother tongues. Knowledge of oral/written translation methods and techniques. Ready and willing to work with different kinds and themes of translation.

Computer skills: MS Word, MS Excel, Photoshop, PowerPoint etc.

Hobbies: travelling, skiing, dancing, fiction (USA jazz age literature being of my special interest). History and culture of the USA and Great Britain.
