NATURE OF EXPERIENCE:
Develop Construction Execution Plans during engineering for each assigned project.
Facilitate and document Constructability Reviews with Engineering and Operations to optimize construction and help prevent field rework.
Provide review of construction cost estimates with respect to scope accuracy and level of effort, and monitor actual costs against the approved budget.
Provide input into the scheduling of projects to meet project milestones and maintain construction resources to acceptable levels.
Monitor progress of field activities to ensure scheduling milestones and critical path are understood and committed dates are being met.
Ensure good co-operation between the project organization, contractors, and Operations.
Coordinate with Operations and Project Engineer to ensure that proposed construction and work methods are clearly understood and accepted.
Coordinate between the construction contractor and the COMPANY Project Engineer to resolve field discrepancies in design packages and address material delays.
Ensure equipment and manpower resources are being used efficiently.
Network with various COMPANY departments and Project Engineer to ensure all appropriate permits and regulations are followed.
Proactively anticipate and resolve problems encountered in the field to prevent costly rework or re-testing.
Ensure all Process Safety management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC) requirements regarding field design modifications and scope changes are met by forwarding appropriate documentation to the Project Engineer for processing.
Coordinate vendor representative schedules for on-site support during construction.
Ensure work is performed per the engineering work packages, specifications, and execution plans via coordination with the Quality Assurance (QA) and Functional Check-Out (FCO) groups.
Work with contractor and Operations to minimize interruptions/impacts to operation and production during installation and construction activities.
Support the Commissioning and Start-Up teams in the definition of the turnover systems for use in Mechanical Completion and System Handover according to Guidance on Certification (GOC) requirements.
Coordinate project turnover activities from construction to commissioning via interface with the Commissioning Coordinator and Quality Assurance.
Responsible for the planning and execution of the construction through Mechanical Completion and hand over to Commissioning, and post hand over completion of Incomplete Work List (IWL) items including start-up support as required.
Fabrication work, Laying of Ducts and Trays, Instrument Pneumatic Piping works
