Internship emphases with work with geriatric population through studies in written communications, sociology, psychology, human services, therapeutic recreation. As a therapeutic recreation director I feel confident as a member of an interdisciplinary team planning therapeutic activities to meet the individual recreational needs of each resident in the facility working with different mental and physical abilities as well as develop programs to meet the residents care needs.
