PRESIDENT
Responsible for general management of the day to day operations of approximately 50 employees including the retail storefront, contracts, contractor tenders for supply only and supply and install contracts.
- developed the FIRST Rona Home and Design Centre with a strategic focus on customized interior finishing for one stop shopping and complete renovation services creating a unique lifestyle shopping experience and creating a niche market not currently available within the construction industry in Ontario
-created a large scale we install program for large projects including full house construction. A portion of the development program was used by RONA Canada for the retail “We Install” program currently used in the home and Garden and retail chain stores
-created the program “ A Site Super for the Site Super program” This blended multiple sub-trades into 2 contracts for home builders.
1st contract was building envelope( after foundation) supply and install of framing and lumber, windows, roofing, siding, eavestrough, soffit and fascia.
2nd contract interior finish (after electrical inspection) supply and install of insulations, spray foam and blown in attic, drywall, paint, interior trim, stairs, in house custom kitchens fabrication, flooring, then hand over the key
The builders customer would come into store meet with one of the interior designers on staff for ALL their design needs. This was provided free to the builder and homeowner but dramatically increased sales and net profit per home for the company. It also greatly reduced the workload for the site supers and home builders/contractors. It basically gave the builder a free employee and increased their profit on the same sales due to pricing and an integrated sales and contract program for the builder. I handled all sub trades.
All trades were handled internally with both employees and sub contractors.
