OBJECTIVE
I wish to obtain a full time job in the field of chemical engineering that will enable me to further my career and apply my newly learned industrial knowledge and gain experience in new fields. WORK HISTORY
Chemical Engineer
Alternate Energy Technologies
Green Cove Springs, FL
October 2012 Present
As a chemical engineer and process supervisor, I am responsible for an electroplating line, coating reactor and waste treatment center operations. The electroplating line is a continuous process, consisting of several cleaning agent bath stations as well as an electroplating station. Coatings are produced in a dual batch chemical reactor facility for future application on the solar panels. The closed loop waste treatment system consists of several filter stations and deionization columns to product DI water. Post process hazardous waste water from deionization columns and rinse stations are treated and recycled back into the closed loop system. Disposal of sludge waste from the system is performed through an EPA certified contractor.
Other responsibilities included maintaining a citric acid bath for the passivation of stainless steel, stainless steel quality control checks. I also participate on the safety committee, verification that plant operations are in compliance with all OSHA regulations and continuous safety training of operators including respirator, HAZCOM, and HAZOP training.
