I was responsible for the following
a. Ensured compliance to the applicable technical standards under the privileges of the approvals granted by the SACAA under its AMO 1041 certification; Brendan Claude Adams

b. Ensured that all maintenance actions were performed in accordance with: i. The relevant manufacturers’ component or part manual(s); ii. Applicable Service Bulletins;
iii. Applicable Airworthiness Directives;
iv. Applicable Service Letters or Instructions; and v. Any other authorised Technical Publications.
c. Ensured that all Safety Regulations prescribed by the Authorities was complied with. d. Ensured that the conditions prescribed in the applicable Aircraft Maintenance Schedules were fully complied with;
e. Ensured that the surveillance system to monitor the work carried out on aircraft, engines, propellers, their respective components and equipment in order to maintain the highest standards of:
i. Inspection;
ii. Overhaul;
iii. Repair;
iv. Replacement;
v. Modification, and
vi. Testing and recording,
were used by the AMO to assist with the maintenance. f. Ensured that all personnel engaged in aircraft maintenance, servicing or handling operations were properly trained in order for them to be able to safely and satisfactorily perform the functions for which for which the AMO was approved; g. Assumed full responsibility for the proper orientation of newly employed personnel performing any operation under the approvals and licenses granted; h. Ensured that the requirements prescribed in this MOP were complied with; i. Ensured that the technical documentation listed below was available at all times when required by the personnel and kept up to date with the latest revisions: i. Technical Information,
ii. Overhaul and Maintenance Manuals;
iii. Service Bulletins;
iv. Parts Catalogues;
v. Approved SACAA data, and
j. Ensured that all records pertaining to each job are filed together and available to auditors for inspection;
k. Ensured that all parts were provisioned for in accordance with the manufacturers’ recommendations and stored in accordance with accepted standard aviation practices; l. Ensured by regular spot checks that procurement, receipt, proper storage and control of all parts and materials are recorded and properly executed in order that the origin of all parts can be traced to their source;
m. Ensured proper segregation and identification of removed unserviceable parts and the continuous control thereof until they were returned to the stores for proper disposition; n. Ensured that no defective, unserviceable or non-airworthy parts were installed in any aircraft, aircraft engine or component released;
o. Ensured that periodic checks of all inspection tools and precision test equipment were carried out in order to ensure that they were still in calibration; p. Ensured continuity of inspection responsibility and completion of required inspections, when personnel shifts or assignments changed;
q. Ensured that the inspections listed hereunder were carried out correctly and recorded the results as detailed in the specfic manuals.
i. Preliminary inspection;
ii. Hidden damage inspection;
iii. Work in progress inspection, and
iv. Final inspection.

r. Ensured the correct identification and tagging of all components and parts s. Ensured that rejected and unserviceable parts were prevented from being re-used as serviceable parts;
t. Ensured that the requirements contained in the CAR, Manufacturers’ Recommendations and the MOP were complied with;
u. Processed such amendments to the MOP as may have be necessary and to submitted them to the Responsible Person: Quality for further processing to gain approval by the SACAA and final inclusion in the MOP;
