Career Objective
Web application development and Software Development are two areas where my experience and interest have lead me to be highly effective and diverse in both. I continue to strive to be a technical leader in these areas working hard to apply knowledge gained with the desire to contribute to the workplace team. I am an enthusiastic and professional Software Developer, who enjoys being part of, as well as leading, a successful and productive team. I am quick to grasp new ideas and concepts, and to develop innovative and creative solutions to problems. Software Developer (Nov 2013 to present)
ICE Health Systems, Calgary, Alberta, Canada http://icehealthsystems.com/ Product development on ICE 5 Dental Electronic Health Record System which is cloud based Dental management software.
Designed and implemented the Electronic Dental Submission system for ICE 5. o Enables the insurance system to build and submit electronic claims to paying insurance companies along with supporting claim communications.
This was a complete redesign of their product so very much like a 1.0 product which requires a lot of input and communication.
Started as a full stack developer but moved onto the UI team working exclusively developing the user interface. Responsibilities include:
Participating in daily and weekly Scrum and Retrospectives attended by all levels of management.
First developing full stack, then moving to the UI side.
Eclipse based development on Apple Mac platforms.
Designed and developed core areas of the web application, using Backbone, Underscore, JQuery libraries.

Web application development - Working within the Victoria Lab on the integration/Nitro team.
Responsible for tracking my work progress using IBM's Eclipse based RTC (Rational Team Concert) tool, a cms defect and work tracking system. Stories and tasks would be assigned to me which I would keep updated as my work progressed.
Since this is a 1.0 project and our team small (5 core developers) I was able to work in all areas of the product, both client side and server side.
Ensuring the code base quality and testing all interface changes with supported browsers ( Currently IE7-8, FireFox and Safari).
Debugging and code flow tracing using FireBug and WebDeveloper plugin tools.
Provide documentation as needed on the new features implemented. Documentation included wiki updates as well as full docs written for the product release.
Daily and weekly reports to management as well as contribution to team AGILE stand-ups and scrums.
Became the technical leader on the team for the CSS component. This included design work, code quality assurance, technical leadership and training, API specifications and documentation writing.
Worked with new developers with system set up, product orientation and technology training when needed.
Participated in other, non-technical, team roles, such as the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee, organized helpful presentations, etc.
