Responsible for tourism, business, and economic development for park and surrounding business district.
Develop, improve, and maintain Quality of Life standards for the park and park patrons.
Responsible for community outreach, relationship building, and maintaining public relations with park visitors, stake holders, local user groups, clubs, and civic organizations. Serve as media contact and spokesperson for park events and happenings.
Supervise and inspect the construction, maintenance and operation of buildings, grounds and recreational areas. Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies for the operation of the park and its facilities.
Supervise employees in the management of the operation of the park. Initiate hiring and interview process, and hire appropriate candidates. Event Coordinator Supervisor
Develop, construct, implement, and coordinate special events within the park system. Coordination includes gathering event information and logistics, providing support in all aspects of event planning and implementation, marketing, and administration. Supervise division Field Staff and implementation of events onsite throughout parks.
Research and development of guidelines for special event logistics, sponsorships, materials, and resources. Evaluate overall viability of all park events.
Supervise the overall implementation of the parks aquatic programs and maintenance of the facilities. Supervise the parkwide lifeguard program and uniform contracts. Liaison to the State Health Department for aquatic facilities and operations. Serve as project coordinator for aquatic facility construction, improvements, and purchases. Coordinate training and safety inspections for all park aquatic facilities. Serve as division Lifeguard, CPR and First Aid Instructor.
Review and make recommendations for the programs and event budgets for all parks, as well as all aquatic facility operation budgets.
Assist in other division responsibilities including planning seasonal workshops and other staff training, construction and maintenance of recreational facilities such as playgrounds, sports courts, boat docks, shelters, and mini golf, writing and maintaining operation manuals, assisting in other parks programs, presentations, and group programming, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
