Hospital Experience
(From Nov 1991 to Aug 03- 37 Military Hospital in Ghana)- The Pharmacy department of the hospital has the outpatient department, inpatient department, Clinical pharmacy department and the medical stores and equipment depot. I had extensive training and worked in all departments.
At the clinical department, I went on ward rounds with the Doctors and Nurses to assess patient how they were doing in all aspects. I also went round alone to assess patients by talking (intensive interviews) with them and their relative which all came to bare positively on their health outcomes. Where I (pharmacist) taught certain changes to medications were necessary, this was suggested to the Physician. All suggestions were also documented in the patient’s folder. There is a lot of collaboration between the inpatient pharmacy and the clinical pharmacy department.

PROJECT WORK EXPERIENCE
The German Government gave a gift of military items to the Ghana Armed forces and I was asked to handle the gift and administer it from Germany to Ghana. This was worth up to about 8 million US dollars. I handled it successfully, accomplished the project and distributed the gift to all military depots in Ghana. These items are still in use. I selected useful items to the country and left out undesirables. This was a great saving for Ghana, which I am happy to have done.
ADMINISTRATION
All the positions I have occupied in the pass years have required a lot of administration of people, documentation and many more. Being an officer in the army medical corps required a lot of administration of personnel documentation and drug issues, budgeting and a lot of miscellaneous administration/management work. In administration, I have managed people at many levels including training for pharmacy work and general administration.

I have basic computer skills and have used this for a long time
I posses a good managerial and communication skills
I believe challenges bring a lot of good out of people.
