Employment
Estimator & Project Manager Phaltless Inc. & Terra Firma Chattanooga, TN Jan. 2010 - March 2015
A group was formed to create estimating spreadsheets which helped reduce time in estimating, reduced inconsistencies and calculated overhead more precisely.
Estimated paving & stabilization projects via both plan rooms and site visits to make sure all factors are correctly seen prior to submittals
Tracked all material orders & delivery times to lessen down time
Created the logo and website for the stabilization division of Phaltless - Terra Firma
Due to the uncertainty of last year’s budget & bonuses I created & implemented 2015 Capital Budget tracking reports
To better track maintenance and equipment feasibility I created a tracking report for equipment & fleet maintenance
With Terra Firma being less than 10 years old it was a great accomplishment to be nominated for job of the year by ARRA with our Northern Division
Project Manager & Process Engineer Baron Systems & Solutions Dalton, GA April 2004 - Dec. 2009
Managed new assembly projects for our major customers: GE, WHIRLPOOL, WOLF, VIKING, ALADIN & HUMMINBIRD
In my 5 years I designed assembly fixtures, programmed robots for automated assembly, conducted capability studies, producibility meetings, performed root cause analysis, designed packaging, ran time studies, created & updated work instructions and visual aids
Joining up with maintenance we increased production by 400% by analyzing and implementing a new plant floor layout & an automated assembly process
Being the liaison between: sales & engineering, production & customer, supplier & quality I was able to both inform Baron of our customers’ concerns and inform our customers’ about ours, especially when starting new product lines
Common duties: Incoming/outgoing product inspection, Root cause analysis, PFEMA, PPAP, control plans, work instructions, SPC training, training database
To decrease outgoing inspection time and rejects to our customers I designed and trained employees on GO/NO GO gauges for the majority of our products.
Created and verified BOMs for customers’ service units
I designed Baron’s & whirlpool’s first concentricity fixture
After we automated the counter unit line we ran trials on a vision system for centering the glass on GE’s cook tops; however, it was soon in-sourced.
To help reduce overhead during a time of major in-sourcing I took over the quality department while being the production engineer.
Due to my accomplishments at Baron I was Invited to SCHOTT GLASS’ Headquarters in Mainz, Germany for an evaluation to see if I would be a good candidate to work outside the U.S. for SCHOTT
