Managed the accounting close from an IT perspective involving 38 direct system and more than 150 indirect systems/applications.
Provided senior management with options to enhance the duration of the accounting close. During tenure, the duration improved from 17 to 13 days.
Supported the Senior Director of Application Development and provided strategic guidance, business process improvements, thought leadership, and development life cycle expertise using Agile development methodologies.
Oversaw teams of developers, testers, business and systems analysts (total of 7 FTEs and contractors) and coached members on Agile practices and execution. Managed 14 consecutive sprints without delaying a user story originally committed to.
Facilitated daily stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Sprint Grooming sessions, Sprint Retrospective meetings, and presented developed functionality to senior management after each Sprint.
Developed Gherkin acceptance criteria/requirements, solution specifications, test cases, SDLC documentation, and prepared projects for internal governance checkpoints utilizing a variety of software tools.

Oversaw 5 contractors for the development of a financial reconciliation and audit system (Intergovernmental Commerce Exchange (ICE).
Developed relationships with state and federal government CIOs, CFOs, and Treasurers and promoted MasterCard payment-processing and software options, including capture management for various modules of ICE and for card opportunities.
