As a Second Processing maintenance technician I am responsible for the overall general preventive maintenance of food processing and packaging equipment. 05/15/03-current Second Processing Maintenance Technician, Tyson Foods Vienna, Ga.

Responsible for the safe operation of food processing equipment. Safety first LOTO no exceptions. Perform weekly preventive maintenance on food processing and packaging equipment. Troubleshoot and determine causes of equipment failure using visual and test equipment such as gauges, oscilloscopes, volt,ohm, amp meters. Repair broken or damaged structures of machinery by tig or mig welding. Replace boards and load cells on scales. Perform calibration on PLC controlled machinery such as accura portioners. Calculate X & Y values. Check servo motors for timing and gear slippage. Perform maintenance on case erectors adjusting vaccum and frame adjustments according to box size. Change out motors when needed. Troubleshoot and diagnose the cause of failure for electrically controlled apparatus. Fluent in circuitry, inducers, transformers, capacitors, resistors and generators. Do weekly checks on the plant pneumatic system. Bleed the lines, drain moisture filters (dryers). Safe handling when testing or replacing

110/220/480v motors. Experienced in low and high voltage wiring industrial and residential. Knowledgeable about VFD’s and PLC’s, basically setting and programming to a certain spec for the piece of equipment that it is controlling though product flow management. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pumps used to control dumpers throughout the facility. I perform minor troubleshooting on HVAC components throughout the plant, such as checking head pressure, and all electrical controls of heating and cooling units. I repair broken metal components or modify metal structures too meet company expectations. Cut out damaged metal plates or guards

using a torch. I also use a cnc lathe to mill shafts down to a specific degree and to tap shafts for proper thread sizing in case of machine failure due to a broken or misaligned shaft.
