Equipment used on daily basis included commercial walk behind mowers from 36 inch to 60 inch, zero turn mowers, large John Deere PTO tractors, Shindaiwa line trimmers, hedge trimmers, edgers and blowers. Cutting equipment such as commercial chainsaws and stump grinders. Non-powered equipment like shovels, loppers, sledge hammers, and hand equipment were also used.

Began classroom training on power plant operations and maintenance in May which lead through the end of August. Included topics were power plant theory, operations, tools and equipment usage, PPE usage, environmental wellness, safety training, CPR and emergency response training, and health training.
After classroom training, I would assist supervisors on daily activities such as shoveling coal, plant readings and rounds, safety checks, and general plant clean up.
