Fulton Street Mixed Use Development, San Francisco, CA: Managed preconstruction objectives for an $80M commercial retail + residential complex comprised of 251,000 SF of gross floor area with 4 floors of 281 residential units above the retail area supported by 1,900 subterranean parking spaces configured below the complex. Implemented a customized Project Management Plan to incorporate cost/schedule control and reporting processes within ridged San Francisco building requirements.
San Francisco International Airport: Directed Design-Build services for a $12.6 M Data Center built to an Uptime Institute Tier II standard with N+1 redundancy. Led multiple performers in a highly collaborative environment to develop and manage deliverables. Provided guidance in resolving difficult issues including an accelerated schedule requiring completion in 9 months. Utilized effective communication, mentoring, and negotiation skills to enable the Design-Build team maintain the GMP on schedule. Received two project excellence awards (2014 CMAA Project Achievement Award and 2014 WCCC Exceptional Project Award) in the category of Buildings/Infrastructure and Advanced Technologies.
Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD): Led a team to assess program management practices in use for a $6.2 B campus expansion/rebuilding program that underwent harsh media criticism. Identified existing process/procedures, analyzed program organizational maturity, addressed governance processes and prepared achievable recommendations based on PMI best practice areas to properly balance participant roles and maximize performance in areas of risk, cost, schedule, quality, communication, procurement, human resources, and stakeholder management. Halo Theme Park + Resort: Oversaw planning for a unique $2.45 B theme park in northwest Costa Rica. The 650-acre resort featured LEED concepts for 5 hotels, a convention center/casino, 370 custom residences, a 100-bed medical clinic, civil infrastructure, and a beachside commercial village center. Developed the Program Management Plan, parametric budgets and the master schedule to support funding packages. Planning strategy leveraged commonality across multiple project types and delivery methods to meet program objectives.
