My duties consist of taking bill payments over the phone and establishing new correctional phone billing accounts. These accounts were primarily set up to provide billing and payment options for family members who have love ones incarcerated in correctional facilities in which we were the provider of the collect call routing, and inmate trust fund commensary service. I also was responsible for minor troubleshooting and processing technical issue tickets if family members had problems accepting calls from a specific facility. Like most phone service providers we had the ability to stop call services due to nonpayment, add and remove blocks and set up call acceptance on multiple phones.

Delta Dallas - Dallas, TX - February 2013 to January 2014 I worked as a member services agent for a pharmacy benefits management company called Prime Therapeutics. I would give Blue Cross Blue Shield members information on their pharmacy benefits, by informing them as to which medications are covered under their plans, how much money they would have to pay and what their deductable consisted of as well as their co-pay structure. My duties also consisted of processing prescription claims, as well as faxing forms to members and their doctors in reference to denied coverage and plan exemptions. I managed the BCBS members pharmacy benefits and gave them break downs of the coverage, and explained the cost of their medications as well as gave them alternatives that were cheaper and covered under their insurance plan.

I was working as a credentialing auditor for Blue Cross Blue Shield. I would evaluate provider applications to make sure they meet all the criteria to continue service with Blue Cross. My job also consist of inputing missing information such as SS#, work history, and hospital privileges, but the provider would have to have the correct information submitted to me for me to input. I would also run background checks on these providers to check for any sanctions, malpractice suits or criminal history. I would verify whether or not they had proper education to practice in their field.
