CHRISTOPHER L. WESTERHOFF

OBJECTIVE

I would love to share my diverse background in leadership, attention to detail, customer service, marketing, and loyalty with a new company!

SKILLS & ABILITIES

I am an organized leader that exhibits grace under pressure. I adapt quickly to the job position that I am hired for. I learn fast and function independently very well. I am a team player that is always looking for solutions to problems.

EXPERIENCE

Purchaser/Assistant to Production – Beam’s Custom Woodworking

June 2014 – July 2015

Responsible for timely procurement of material, lumber and hardware for custom woodworking shop. Set-up inventory control procedures and ordering procedures. Scheduled deliveries by coordination with job site General Contractors.

LOCATION MANAGER – ROTECH HEALTHCARE, INC

September 2011 – June 2014

I managed the day-to-day operations of Neighbor Care at Home in Reading, PA; a Level 2, Rotech Healthcare location. I managed a combined staff of 1 customer service rep, 2 CDL drivers, 1 Respiratory Therapist and 1 Sales Rep. I was responsible for managing daily deliveries of home medical equipment as well as the behind the scenes of billing and front-end financials including the budget, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. Also responsible for the management of sales territory and marketing of services; creating and maintaining market share analysis’, active referral accounts and calling-on referrals. Customer satisfaction was a top priority with my team – both internal and external customers.

MANAGEMENT/COOK/PLANNER/CO-CREATOR/INVENTORY – TAKIN’ TIME CAFE

2011 - 2013

I was very involved in the creation of the Takin’ Time Café that was located in Paradise, PA. I helped to create the business plan, order inventory, hire associates, and did the weekend cooking as well. The restaurant business has been in my family since the 1960’s. The café grew very successfully and we had dedicated clientele from all over the East Coast!

The café has since closed due to my father’s cancer diagnosis.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN – EME MEDICAL EQUIPMENT

January 1998 – September 2011

I began as a delivery driver and worked my way into warehouse operations and equipment/project management. I was responsible for cleanliness and readiness of company and customer owned home medical equipment. I did not have a direct supervisory role; however, I was the leader of my department and responsible for the training of my coworkers. I also filled oxygen cylinders and delivered and set-up home medical equipment in patients’ homes.

BOOKKEEPER – MEALS ON WHEELS, INC

May 1996 – May 2001

I was responsible for all bookkeeping/accounting activities for this company. I planned the annual budget, responsible for filing all taxes, responsible for weekly payroll and payroll taxes. I was instrumental in the installation and implementation of Quick Books small business software. In the later couple years, I over-saw/supervised one assistant bookkeeper as I needed to work in a full time position with EME Medical. This position I held was a part time position.

EDUCATION

ASHFORD UNIVERSITY – CLINTON, IA – BA IN ORGANIZATIONAL MANAGEMENT

I have a minor in Accounting and a Specialization in Human Resource Management.

I graduated in December 2010.

UNITED STATES ARMY – FT. LEWIS, WA – 75B PERSONNEL ADMINISTRATION SPECIALIST

COMMUNICATION

The biggest accomplishment so far in my career was with Rotech. When I took-over as the Location Manager for Neighbor Care in Reading in January 2013, the Held Items (billed-for supplies/equipment not yet collected) were at about $140K. I was able to decrease that to under $20K within 8 months and turned the location into a profit center.

LEADERSHIP

At EME Medical, I had become the go-to guy and the leader in the warehouse. Using my knowledge and first-hand experience led me to be able to focus my attention on training my coworkers and leading them to be successful employees. I also built a strong team while at Rotech that led to a better, more sustainable financial base.
