Project Title: Design and Fabrication of Angle Plate Jig
Description: Project is based on the need for the work holding devices. It will enable the operation like Drilling, Reaming, Tapping process easier. It provide easy holding and guiding of the tool.
Main Project:
Project Title: Tool Life Improvement in Punching Assembly
Description: In the company they are producing different types of Screws, Bolts and Nuts by use of Forging and Trimming process. In Forging process, tools are breaks easily than the Trimming process. So that I analyzed in forging dies especially in Truss type forging die because it breaks in minimum number of (600 to 700) production. By modifying, removing protrusion from forming die and taking the tool under Plasma Nitriding treatment, tool life do increase maximum. Hence tool will not breaks while production, it will runs above 1500 numbers.
