Firm provides handyman and construction services to residential and commercial customers. Scope of work includes electrical, carpentry, plumbing, tiling, painting and just about any task that is requested by a customer.
2014 to 2015
Kings Quality Foods – Mohnton PA, a manufacturer of pretzels, potato chips, salads and other commercial food products.
Held position of Plant Manager, directed the activities of 45 employees in production of food products distributed to supermarkets and other distributors. In addition to Plant Manager, the positions responsibilities include Safety Manager, Food Safety Director, scheduling, Quality Control Manager, training director and was the sole member of the maintenance department. Plant production efficiency increased 20% as a result of applying my management and organizational abilities.

2006 to 2014
Grosfillex Inc. – Lebanon, PA, a manufacturer of plastic consumer goods
Hired as Plant Superintendent to construct, start up and operate first paint operation in corporation. Managed, developed and directed every facet of manufacturing operations, including directing an 80 employee work force. Production increased from 400k units to 3.2M over 5-year period. Employment increased from 30 to 80 employees, virtually all provided by Temp agencies. One of multiple hats worn was manufacturing engineer- developed and implemented every facet of factory operations, including personally training the initial hires, mentoring, developing all manufacturing processes, materials planning, scheduling and hiring.
2004 to 2006

2001 to 2003
Rahns Specialty Metals, Rahns, PA, a manufacturer of specialty rolled stainless steel and nickel metal strip.
Held position of Chief Metallurgist/Quality Manager, responsible for all technical aspects of production, including process sequences developing process parameters to fulfill customer specification, and customer interface. Directed the activities of the Quality Department, including Quality Manager and 8 QA technicians and clerks. Assumed Quality Manager position following force reduction, including directing all ISO functions of the firm.
Team Leader of Senior Staff Management Team responsible for cost reduction, quality and process improvement, safety improvement and communications.
Implemented numerous cost reductions via process refinements.
1997 to 2001:
Baldwin Hardware, Reading, PA, a manufacturer of solid brass consumer goods.
Held position of Finishing Engineer, responsible for process control of two paint lines, forging and polishing operations, and waste treatment activities. Among my accomplishments are:
Responsible for turning a non-functional e-coat paint line to a full production work cell. Project Engineer for tenfold production capacity increase in e-coat line.
Reduced rejections on liquid paint line to historic lows.
1995 to 1997:
Chamberlain Manufacturing, Scranton, PA., a defense contractor manufacturing artillery shells.
Held position of Manufacturing Engineer responsible for paint line operations, implementation of low VOC paint, new products and project management. Among my accomplishments are:
Improved productivity on one paint line from 77% to 141% and reduced rejection rate from 30% to 1.0%.
Improved productivity on second paint line from 83% to 118% and reduced rejection rate from 7.2 % to1.7%.

1991 to 1995:
Ohi Automotive of America, Frankfort, KY., a Japanese owned manufacturer of numerous OEM components.
Held position of Manufacturing Engineering Manager responsible for product and process control, manufacturing floor support and troubleshooting for stamping, assembly and fabrication, welding and materials. Among my many accomplishments were:
Directed Manufacturing Floor Support activities for a plant that grew from 95 to 500 employees in one year.
Redesigned process, developed parameters and instructed associates in robotic MIG welding to reduce scrap from 23 to 0.7 percent.
1986 to 1991
Harman Automotive, Sevierville, TN., an Automotive OEM supplier of exterior rearview mirrors.
Held position of Manager- Manufacturing Engineering, Maintenance and Tool Room. Also functioned as Molding Engineer, Paint Engineer, Assembly Engineer and Press Engineer. Among my many accomplishment were:
Problem definition and subsequent design and installation of modifications to two electrostatic paint systems that resulted in yield improvements worth $400,000 annually.
Cradle to grave introduction of three new product lines, from tooling acquisition to final product approval on schedule.
Design and implementation of eleven ergonomically focused assembly machines.
Development and implementation of material cost reduction program resulting in $250,000 annual improvement.
Instructed SPC classes and team leader in Work Cell program.
1982 to 1986
Fram Corporation, RI and OH. Manufacturer of automotive filters.
Hired as Sr. Staff Metallurgist at Corporate Engineering for material development programs, manufacturing development and problem resolution. Transferred to manufacturing responsible for stamping and drawing, tooling, welding and high speed assembly. Project responsibilities included two major press and tooling installations and acquisition of a powder paint system.. Developed alternate material program for $600,000 annual savings.
1980 to 1982
ITT Grinnel, RI., a manufacturer of pipe fittings and piping systems.
Held position of Sr. Metallurgist at Corporate Engineering, responsible for heat treatment of arctic pipeline and material development, malleable and ductile cast iron products. Worked in team responsible for designing and developing patented threadless fittings.
1979 to 1980

Manufacturer of ferrous strip and flat wire products. Held position of Director of Engineering responsible for Rolling and Metallurgical Processes, Maintenance and Plant Engineering and Customer Service.
