Castle Medical LLC Smyrna GA

Human Resources Intern

May 2014 to July 2014

As an intern, I learned administrative work such as keeping files organized, updating Excel spreadsheets, composing emails, setting up appointments, making phone calls and getting coffee when anyone needed it. I also had practice fielding candidates for various positions by sorting out those that did not meet the requirements of the position. I was appointed the liaison for the department where I worked with several departments to meet business development needs. Being organized was the key to my success at Castle Medical.

Cashier

March 2013 to June 2013

As a cashier, I learned to multitask very quickly. Keeping customers entertained, ringing up and completing a transaction, answering phones and keeping the front of the store tidy. Although it was only a seasonal position I put my best efforts into my work and I learned my duties quickly.

Bailey Performance Center Kennesaw, GA

Student Assistant

October 2008 to December 2010

I was hired because of my passion for staging live performances. The Bailey Center put on classical music and jazz concerts along with some other performances. My position required many duties, including working “front of house” where I welcomed guests and helped them find seats. I also guarded over the general safety of the audience members. When needed, I would also work as “backstage manager.” In this capacity I was required to work with performers, while calling light and sound cues and working on a very strict time constraint. Additionally, some nights I would work in "the booth" with the sound recording equipment and light board. I was trained to program simple light boards and have limited skills with Pro-Tools. On occasion, when equipment malfunctioned I would have to quickly trouble shoot to locate the problem and then fix it before the concert started, and sometimes to continue a concert. Because of this I have learned to work well under pressure.

The contact number for the Performance Center is 770-***-****

Skills:

Friendly and open with customers; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point; familiar with Microsoft Outlook; excellent written and verbal skills, organized and capable at multi-tasking.

Volunteer Work:

I am an avid humanitarian and lover of animals:

Volunteer at “Good Mews,” a cat adoption center

Volunteer at the Cobb County Animal Shelter

Supported and donator for “Locks of Love” (13 inches!)

Supported, donator and 5K runner for the “Make a Wish Foundation” in Marietta

Personal Achievements:

I was heavily involved in theater throughout high school and college. I have helped build and design several sets for the drama department, along with running the sound board and light board for many performances. In my senior year of high school I enjoyed performing in a play where my character was a quirky but mute stagehand who bubbled around the set for most of the play. I was awarded "Best Supporting Actor" for my silly spur of the moment antics.
