Projects and Case Study Done:
Dissertation: Building Recognition using Aerial Images.
Environment : Matlab 6.1 and Windows XP.
Description : It was done as a Dissertation Work for the partial fulfillment of the M.Tech. course. This project addresses the problem of building detection in aerial images. Region growing operator called homogeneous operator is used to find the interior of the building. Active contour model is used to get the exact exterior of the building with the help of edges and region formed by region growing operator.
Case Study: Digital Watermarking using Haar Wavelet Transforms.
Environment : C++ and Windows XP, DOS.
Description : It was done as a Case Study for the partial fulfillment of the M.Tech. course. A wavelet-based watermark casting scheme and a blind watermark retrieval technique is implemented. An adapyive watermark casting method is developed to first determine significant wavelet subbands and then a couple of significant wavelet coefficients are selected in these subbands to embed watermarks.
Project: Pattern Recognition using Affine Invariant Descriptors.
Environment : C++ and Windows 2000.
Description : It was done as a Case Study for the partial fulfillment of the B.E. course. The primary goal of this project is to study the performance of various pattern recognition techniques. The algorithms implemented are capable of recognizing characters even under affine transformations, which include rotation, transition and scaling using descriptors like Fourier transforms, Moments and relative distance method.
Project: Microprocessor based 7 segment displays.
Environment : Microprocessor 8085 Kit.
Description : It was done as a Case Study for the partial fulfillment of the Diploma course. The main idea of the project is to study the interface of the seven segment Led display to the Microprocessor 8085 using the driver 7447. An assembly language program has been developed to get the timer action
