PROJECT MANAGER. Coordinated the activities of a fast paced project from the design through its execution phase to completion.

The position required working with several Contractors to achieve the project objectives while the Process facility remained operational.

Project Scope:

With a budget of 8 MUSD, the project expanded the company’s production facilities to accommodate increased demand.

Key activities & achievement(s):

- COORDINATION: Assisted in the coordination of the activities of the project, ensuring resources were maximized while limiting both facility & personnel downtime.

- Coordinated & tracked delivery of tools required for the Production/Fabrication yard.

- BUDGETING: Worked with the Project team to set up its Budget & Cost monitoring system.

- PLANNING & SCHEDULING: Set up and maintain project schedules and progress tracking system using it as a tool for planning & decision making.

- Coordinated the delivery of key deliverables (equipment, civil, structural, mechanical & Electrical installation) within the set deadlines.

- REPORTING: Maintain contact with hierarchy and stakeholders through regular reports.

PROJECT LEADER in charge of upgrade projects for Process facilities. Responsible for managing the Construction of Surface Facilities within the Division while paying particular attention to safety, quality & budget.

Project Scope:

With a budget of 45 MUSD, the Projects involved the Supply & Construction of upgrade units for the water treatment systems on Process facilities.

Key activities & achievement(s):

- MANAGEMENT: Plan, lead and coordinate several Project activities from initiation, through work scoping, Design, Tendering, Construction, Installation, to the Commissioning & Hand-over.

- PROCUREMENT: To coordinate, request, expedite, manage the receipt and inspection of procured materials.

- BUDGETS & DEADLINES: To deliver key deliverables within, often optimistic, deadlines.

- PROFER SOLUTIONS: To identify deficiencies, issues & problems that cause delays, recommend solutions and drive approved remedial actions.

- REPORTING: To maintain contact with Supervisors, Stakeholders & Contractors through reports.

- CONTRACTING: To organize and drive the Projects’ Contract activities during qualification stages, which includes, call for tender preparation, tendering, tender evaluation, and ensure award recommendations are made in the best technical and commercial terms.

- PLANNING, SCHEDULING & PROJECT REPORTING: Prepared & maintained schedules. Coordinated personnel & material availability. Established project budgets, while coordinating Cost monitoring & reporting.

- ORGANIZATION: Organized Kick off meetings, Site mobilization activities, Budget & Project defence presentations etc.

- PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT: Managed mobilization and the integration of personnel into the Project.

- LOGISTICS: Ensured the availability of personnel & equipment when and where required.

- CONTRACTS: Coordinated the Contracting process from request to award.

- PROCUREMENT: Provided the Project with adequate materials required to complete its activities.
