ARROW PLASTIC/ILLINOIS BOTTLE MANUFACTURING COMPANY; Elk Grove Village, IL

Blow Molding Plant Superintendent: 1998 – Present

Responsible for the daily operations of the Blow Molding Plant including 75 production and skilled employees across three shifts. The highlights include:

Manage production schedule including changeovers, color changes and material staging to fulfill customer orders.

Follow our ISO 9001 Quality Management System to ensure products being produced are to the quality standards of the customer.

Schedule maintenance activities for all three shifts to improve machine efficiencies.

Review production KPI’s to identify improvement opportunities.

Conduct yearly performance reviews for personnel and handle disciplinary actions when required.

Work with product development on new product set-ups and process development applications.

Equipment expertise includes Bekum extrusion blow molding machines, Sterling industrial accumulator head blow molding machines, and Aoki injection stretch blow molding machines.

Auxiliary equipment expertise includes cappers, labelers, Fanuc six axis robots, various types of trimming equipment, material loading systems, material dryers and conveying equipment.

Blow Molding Production Process Technician: 1995-1998

Responsible for running machines and auxiliary equipment that pertained to each job to produce high quality parts while maintaining bottle specification and ensuring the machines run efficiently.

Blow Molding Set-up Technician: 1993-1995

Responsible for entire machine set-up and start-up of incoming production runs. Turned machine responsibility over to production process technicians once jobs were running and product was to acceptable specifications.

Injection Molding Set-up Technician: 1992-1993

Responsible for the start-up of machines for production, process issues, and disciplinary action among line operator union personnel.

Injection Molding Assistant Set-up Technician: 1991-1992

Worked directly with the lead set-up technician and learned the changeover process for injection molding machines.

Maintenance Department Apprentice: 1990-1991

Worked part time with maintenance mechanics learning basic hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatics of injection and blow molding machines as well as building maintenance.
