Re: Manufacturing Engineer.

Hiring Manager:

I am interested in speaking to you regarding the Manufacturing Engineer position. My Management and Manufacturing Engineering experience, coupled with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a Tool & Die apprenticeship will provide you with an exceptionally adept Manufacturing Engineer who can make a significant contribution to the company.

As an Engineering Planner at Indal Technologies for the last 5 years, I’ve gained valuable Manufacturing Engineering experience leading cross functional teams in a demanding Naval and Aerospace Defense manufacturing environment. Before my employment at Indal Technologies, I worked as a Project Manager and Tool Maker at A-Line Aerospace Machining, from where I gained valuable leadership experience, in addition to developing and building on my machining and tool making aptitude. I have managed or worked on highly complex programs for the Automotive, Aerospace, and Defense industries, with projects that include the DDG1000, Several sub-surface underwater cable handling systems, GE F414 Turbine, and Pratt & Whitney F135 Turbine programs.

Several years of Planning and Managing experience gives me both a very extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes and production methods in a LEAN, modern shop environment, as well as the ability to oversee, consult, and direct reports to achieve targets. I also have in depth experience reading and drafting blueprints, an expert knowledge of GD&T, and experience with statistical process control. I have advanced proficiency in software applications including the whole Microsoft Office Suite, several CAD/CAM, as well as MRP software. I am excellent at rapport building, and can communicate effectively in both drawing and written formats.

I am looking for a full time opportunity where I can over-achieve my targets and work in a fast paced manufacturing environment. I excel under deadlines and I am continuously learning and looking for ways to improve. I believe the Manufacturing Engineering position is a great opportunity for me to surpass expectations.

I look forward to speaking with you about this opportunity.

Sincerely,

Angelo Zalevich
