Engineering Project Manager – NPI Aftermarket Tools/Equipment

Responsible for working closely with multiple engineers and organizing project teams by chasing down action items and ensuring that projects’ are completed on time and within budget (ranging from $30K up to $1 Million).

Following the Quality System (QSI/QMS) processes with focus on Project Management to initiate, plan, monitor and control, as well as close the project activities.

Coordinate and administrate assigned development projects including cross-functional teams.

Track, report and ensure information and tasks are followed up on and completed.

Integrate engineering and applicable cross-functional project plans from manufacturing, purchasing, service, marketing/sales, and distribution into one comprehensive team project plan.

Collect and update task level information on the project schedule - including duration and dependencies from various resources assigned to the project.

Ensure that project resources are requested in a timely manner.

Track and report project details: cost, task progress, project requirements, all documentation associated with the project and required by the Design Engineering QMS.

Chairs periodic cross-functional project meetings with representatives from various development disciplines involved in the project.

Ensures conformity to the Design Engineering QMS by the various disciplines assigned to the project.

Tracks work progress to identify scheduling problems and bring them to the attention of the Principle Engineer and the PM Manager if necessary.

IT Program Manager

My duties include directing program such as strategic inventory planning, material availability, implementing new processes, sending information to IT personnel to upload into on-line web-site.

Work with engineering to gather technical drawings. Coordinate bi-weekly meetings to review drawings that I have edited and get approval.

Implement new process that lean out old processes. Example: request of parts that are being built on work orders and are needed before going to stock.

Request and track parts which are part of campaign uploads. Currently working on 661 parts in Campaign; however, also tracking parts for parts that are already on-line (around 26K)

Implemented and continued a daily progress report which is sent to VP of IT department that status’s our progress on a daily basis.

Analyze percentages of completion at any given time. Am required to relay these figures to vice president and managers of IT department.

Create, maintain, and analyze multiple spreadsheets that track progression on program. Parts, technical drawings, and attribute information.

My duties include directing the activities of engineers, program requirements, and scheduling needs to accomplish department contracts.
