Maintenance Manager (Plant closed April 2014.)

Supervised a maintenance crew of 12. Restructured the maintenance department which resulted in decreased downtime and increased productivity. Motivated and led team members to meet challenges brought about by facing a plant closing. System compressors include Gardner Denver V boosters, Ingersoll Rand screw, Cooper Turbo 2000 and a 3000, 3-ASB 16/300 Blow molders, 3-650 NHII, 2- Nissei 300DP with Motion control pickers and Fanuc robots. PM program structured through SAP.

Injectronics Inc. Clinton and Westborough, MA. March 2011 – March 2013

Maintenance Manager

Clinton location included 20 injection molding machines and 1 thermoformer. Westborough division included 5 injection molding machines,1 thermoformer and a Sacmi.cap extruder. Responsible for 2 Class 8 clean rooms and two white rooms which were fully automated. Managed set up and orchestrated flow of automation and downstream equipment which included Nissei and Sumitomo injection molding machines along with Sencorp thermoforming machines, as well as Yushin, Ranger and Whittmann robots. Utilized I.Q.M.S. metrics for the monitoring of the uptime, downtime, real time and P.M. system. Set up, maintained and monitored RJG mold process monitoring devices.

E.C.M. Plastics, Worcester MA. March 2007 – March 2011

Maintenance Manager/ Electrician (Plant was sold to relocate)

Managed activities of a 14 person crew comprised of 2 Electricians, 9 mechanics, 2 utility, and 1 custodian. Created P.M. systems for production equipment, and implemented I.S.O. documentation. Responsible for uptime of Extruders, molding machines and all facility related maintenance. Purchased all spare parts and production supplies for the daily operation of production and the safety of all personnel. Rebuilt and P.M. extruders, molding machines and maintain auxiliary equipment. Supervised and installed new equipment and support systems. (Air compressors, Vac. systems, tower, water systems and filtration devices). Training in LOTO, hazmat, forklift, fire prevention, and industrial safety. Engineered a dust collection system to meet O.S.H.A. regulations and N.F.P.A. standards. Troubleshoot and maintained all electrical and mechanical systems. Experienced in AC-DC drives and PLC trouble shooting.

Head Electrician

Responsible for all electrical needs of both production equipment and facility. A major bottling division based in Marlboro Ma. Setup, connect, and troubleshoot bottling lines, Homoginizers,and various types of equipment connected in the food processing industry.

Responsible for all maintenance of injection molding facility and equipment, internally and externally, electrically, and mechanically.

Design new state of the art production facility. Install all inline injection-molding machines electrically and mechanically. Installation of Motan Material system from surge bins to dryers to receivers. Design and install complete installation of air system including two Quincy 30 H.P. screw air compressors. Installed all H2O piping and air piping, installed all electrical and communication systems. Installation and maintenance of all automation and robotics equipment, (Starr, Yushin, and Wittman robots.)Design and fabricate secondary support equipment, such as degaters and cylindrical vibrators, baggers and counters.

Head Electrician of overall plant 1989-1998

Troubleshooting of injection molding machines, HVAC units, telephone system, computer equipment, and 2800 KVA main distribution system. Complete rebuild and install of main electrical distribution center and installation of all equipment, main switches, buss duct, sub feeders, ect. Design and set up of building security system. Setup and install of energy management drive system (ABB) on all machines and aux. equipment. Maintain chillers one 250 ton, and two 350-ton units. Maintain and repair of pumps ranging from 5 to 200 horsepower. Responsibilities include air compressor and all secondary support equipment. Implemented and managed rebuild dept.

Rebuild dept. responsible for rebuilding molding machines 350-2000 ton complete.

Total building capacity 72 presses ranging from 350 ton-2200 ton.

P.M.all main feeder and substation apparatus (breakers, Switches and bus ducts.)

Also rebuilt for all sister plants, Texas, Birmingham and Arizona.
