Responsibilities and duties:

I work within the Operating Theatre Department as a Healthcare Assistant. During surgery I hand over the surgical instruments as instructed by the consultant for a number of varying operations. I comfort and look after the patient as well as providing basic nursing care under the direct supervision of a fully trained registered nurse and enter the patients particulars, procedure time, who was present, and the names of healthcare professionals onto the Meditech system.
