plant. I have been involved with two plant start-ups, and I have

- Plant start-up manager
- Responsible for Dept. set-up, including booths, fluid handling,
process flow, and consumables.
-Hired entire paint staff for two shifts, including Supervisors, Paint Engineering, and employees.
- I was responsible for setting up training process’s for employees,
which included cleaning, prepping, priming, and painting of
locomotives. Also included was decal applications and
packaging.
- As Packaging department manager, I was responsible for the
preservation and packaging of all locomotives for Domestic and
International shipments, based on customer requirements. This
could include wrapping of locomotives, or loading on flat cars for shipment to port.
-I was responsible for the paint design, layout, and painting completion of the Norfolk Southern 30th anniversary Heritage
Units.

Subaru-Isuzu Automotive, Lafayette, Indiana
-One of the original thirty-two supervisors hired for plant
start-up.
-Six years supervisor of Topcoat paint department.
Responsibilities included management of truck painting
operations, quality assurance, overhead, Devilbiss paint
robots and reciprocators.
-Writing work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
-Four years of IPC (In-Process Control). Responsiblities
included Tester Lines (Fori alignments, ABS braking systems,
and OBD emission testing), Final Inspection, Drive program, and
Shipping.
-Three years in charge of QE/IPC Model Change Team.
-Responsibilities included creating training manuals and
training of one hundred and forty-four IPC associates to
inspect new models based on the original design plans and
blueprints. I did defect analysis on all pilot builds, generating
reports to QE, Engineering, Design, and Manufacturing
departments, for modifications, repairs, and follow-ups.
-I also served as Specification Engineer, for the IPC inspection
ticket, creating and assigning option codes for over 1400
parts to each VIN. I created a database combining MBI and
MFP coding, using Paradox programming, to assure part
accuracy. I utilized “Pagemaker” program to create and maintain
the IPC inspection ticket.
-Awarded numerous certifications, including; Devilbiss robotics,
DuPont, PPG, and BASF paint systems, Ergonomics in the
Work environment, and STAR interview techniques. Interviewed
Prospective associates for initial plant start-up.
-Assigned to the Isuzu plant at Fujisawa, Japan. Certified in team
management concepts and team building, work cell structure, JIT,
Kaizen, and Lean Manufacturing.
