Lean Six Sigma Implementation
Implement six sigma techniques in a textile company named Ayesha Knitwear, Lahore.
Conducted research on the main cause of defects and tried to eliminate those effects by the help of industrial engineering tools and technique such as Kaizen, Six Sigma etc. Also calculated the cost that they bear due to such defects
Reduction in rejection rate of garments at Ayesha Knitwear Textile through implementation of Lean Six Sigma
Used DMAIC methodology to identify problems, issues in the productivity of the company
Identified the critical processes and waste and recommended solutions to control the variation in the processes
Constructed different control charts to show the variation in the processes. Also calculated the cost of the rejection rate before and after Six Sigma Implementation
Term Project
Metal Forming and Cutting Analysis
Made metal piece in Metal Forming and Cutting Analysis. Performed operations like Turning, Facing, and Knurling on the work piece.
Engineering Economics
Calculated and compared the cost of solar panels used for all electrical appliances at home as an alternate to electricity used by WAPDA for a year. Identified and analyzed that in how many years the investment will be recovered, if we convert the electrical source of a house to solar panels?
Human Factor Engineering
Identified the faults in the office furniture in UMT like low heighted seats, inappropriate designing etc. and suggested improvements to the relevant resource according to the standard ergonomic measurements
Achievements
Worked as an organizer of the flag ceremony event in Punjab Youth Festival in 2012. Also participated as a field volunteer at the same time.
