Tasked to launch new programs of hot and cold end exhaust systems for major OEM’s. Commodities include: Stampings, fasteners, tubing and hanger rods.

Program Cost Performance: Initiate VA/VE opportunities with Engineers to drive down costs of components launched on new programs. Goal is to beat program targets by 10%

Responsibilities include the management of $49M worth of annual spend, collaborating with Sales, Program Management, Suppliers, Engineers, SQE and Material Planners to launch new programs, as well as work on VA/VE ideas to implement cost savings and reductions.

Implemented $500,000 annual cost savings by sourcing and developing a new supplier to JAC. o Realized JAC was single sourced for a specific type of Resin. o Researched similar suppliers that provide same service. o Identified a few suppliers and had them competitively quote. o Developed supplier to meet 5 different customer specs for color match and physical properties.

Projected 2015 cost savings of $1.3M. Commodities: resin, steel, stampings, fasteners.
