Experience

Project-Production Planner/Scheduler May 2015 – August 2015

Eastern Shipbuilding

Status, (by photos) assigned vessels on a weekly basis (Hornbeck OSV’s (2), FMT’s (3), Week’s Dredge & 3 similar vessels).

Updated material status as needed based on Project Managers Material spreadsheet.

Planned all craft work utilizing similar designs and assigned budgets based on actual hours used on previous builds.

Used a virtual computer loaded with Windows XP to allow communication with Oracle P3 Sure Track scheduling software to complete all scheduling needs in department.

Project-Production Scheduler April 2014 – March 2015

VT HALTER MARINE

Overseeing the change and implementation of the Scheduling Department from MS Project to Primavera P6, ver 8.3, eventually utilizing all aspects of P6 as it applies to Project Management and EVMS reporting in anticipation of future government contracts.

Created and updated a trial schedule for a current build in progress utilizing Primavera P6, ver 8.3. This included a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) carried to the 6th level, as well as all project and activity code dictionaries.

Created a resource library encompassing all engineering and production crafts and assigned budgets to all applicable activities. Created manpower layouts for engineering & production.

Re-sequenced schedule twice due to changes in build strategy.

Updated status on a weekly basis and reported any discrepancies to management and production.

Project-Production Scheduler January 2004 – April 2014

AUSTAL’s

Created and updated Primavera P6 project schedules for each assigned project, including, but not limited to tasks and resources using a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) that was based on work scope and other customer, project team, engineering, manufacturing and supply chain inputs.

Maintained schedules with regards to build strategy and sequencing to ensure the primary timetable for milestones and deliverables was met.

Collected status from various team members and external contributors to ensure schedule integrity.

Incorporated Baseline Adjustment Requests (BAR’s) into the schedule.

Allocated resources and prepared two week and 60 day look-ahead reports for manning requirements per craft.

Worked with project team to create and analyze Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path Management (CPM) data including schedule and cost metrics (e.g., SPI/CPI) and present results to various management and production groups.

Inventory Management Analyst July 2003 – December 2003

Analyzed inventory data weekly and monthly to ensure proper quantities of finished goods were in stock to meet demand.

Responsible for balancing, adjusting and finalizing cut orders for production.

Planned and scheduled all paint work in New Construction and Repair as well as the Blast Yard. Reviewed production drawings and set budgets for area work based on square footage takeoff’s. Monitored set budgets vs. actual hours used and reviewed with Paint Supt. and foremen.
