Designed and implemented new mechanical part removal to existing injection process resulting in the elimination of ergonomic issues created by manually removing gaskets from mold cavities.

Direct manufacturing processes and engineering development in assigned model cells, assist and support new business growth as well as existing production. Conceptualize and define new processes and equipment. Modify existing processes and equipment to meet manufacturing goals. Provide accurate and timely documentation such as production Flow diagrams, production FMEA and molding specifications and instructions.

Led Green belt project aimed to increased profitability on an existing product, reduced material usage variance resulting in savings of $30K year.

Achieve overall scrap level from 1.3% to 0.9% in assigned model cells, utilizing Desma, Rep and Engel Injection presses.

Developed first valve-gate process in the plant, utilizing a 50 Ton vertical Engel press.

Launched transfer project into Morristown, requiring the process development of 15 new parts and 5 vertical 250- 400 ton Rep injection presses, along with the training of personnel across 3 shifts to operate the newly implemented model cell. This required writing molding specifications, creating Process Flows, PFMEAs, and establishing Bill of Materials and manufacturing costs.

Provided Leadership in conceiving developing and implementing New Model Cell for Gas Tank Filler Tube Seal for Ford MoCo. Utilizing APQP discipline and tools. Project involved leading a team of 4 engineers of several areas of expertise, technical support form tool maker and press manufacturer as well as secondary equipment suppliers. Macrotech Polyseal (Now SKF)

Responsible for on time design of all injection plastic molds and compression rubber tooling, including management duties of two tool designers that reported directly to me. Championed successful process performance and troubleshooting of new and existing tooling. Instrumental element for adequate communication and decision making between Product Engineering, Quality and Production departments.

Successfully designed and implemented the first fully automated “Wear ring” molding cell utilizing Pro-e mold design. Resulting in the reduction of direct labor by 75% and eliminating secondary trim operation.

Initiated development of manufacturing processes in Sao Paolo Brazil Plant. Directly involved in the process of capital equipment selection.

Manage tool design department operations for 2 years, ensuring successful tool performance, installation & troubleshooting of manufacturing processes.
