MAJOR ACHIEVEMENT

o FDP & EOR: Integrated FDP work was done for Middle East Carbonate Stringer oil fields of Sakhiya, Ghafeer, Dafaq, Mamour, Sarmad, Rabab South-East fields. Objective was to reassess the possibility EOR for dead/heavy oil through miscible sour gas injection. Sour gas is produced as bi-product of oil and is a health hazard. Extensive core studies were conducted. EOR project is one of the biggest sour gas injection project with ultimate oil STOIIP greater than 1 billion barrels. Project is currently in final phase. o E&D: Exploratory and developmental Log evaluation for several oil fields with carbonate reservoir having heavy oil and tough sour gas environment. o Oil Re-development: Completed Gharif clastic reservoir oil redevelopment plan & two shallow water disposal project for central Oman fields o New Tech: Served as new technology focal point for fit-for-purpose deployment in PDO PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT OMAN, EXPLORATION - Petrophysics Team Leader 2006 – 2009

o Logging Field Plan: Logging operational planning, execution and log evaluation in heavy oil sand reservoir and tight carbonate.

o Carbonate Expertise: Worked as Carbonate specialist for reservoirs characterization in Middle East sub-salt carbonate Stringers oil fields and provided the key role in Stringer oil exploration

o Discovery: Worked from logging plan to evaluation for one of the biggest Stringer oil discoveries of decade at Rabab South East. Field is now handed over to Asset for development.

o Appraisal: Successful Harweel extension appraisal and development during tenure resulted in major production boost

o Heavy Oil: Planned logging and Petrophysics evaluation for Marmul, Qarn Alam and Harweel field developments. Each field had a specific EOR plan. o Laminated Sand: FDP work for laminated shaly-sand Anzauz field (oil). o Re-development: Natih oil new development logging plan charted and executed during tenure o New Tech: Successfully brought forward NMR, ECS and SHARPlite technologies to Oman fields for reservoir characterization and hydrocarbon evaluation in exploratory carbonate fields.

o Database: Updated exploratory petrophysical database by consistent re-evaluation of old and new wells. Results updated Stringer Atlas.

• Pre-bid evaluation of blocks/appraisal wells for International bidding.

o Provided Australian Offshore/Onshore blocks evaluation for ONGC Bidding with an inter- disciplinary team

o Worked on innovative fluid-substitution modelling in offshore wells. It led to inversion study on Tapti and KG offshore fields to refine sand distribution & prospects o Worked on KG Offshore Deep Water (India) re-evaluation field study for KG-OS-DW-III & IV blocks on G-1, KD-2, KD-1, G-4 and GD-2 structures. A new interpretation tool based on fluid substitution, Vp-Vs inversion ‘Aspect Ratio’ was devised and implemented for the purpose.

o Worked on multi-disciplinary North and South Tapti Field (India) study that led to identification and correlation of fine facies and multi-zone oil and gas reservoir. Based on the study detailed geological model and maps were created to best capture the lateral variation in facies.

o Worked for independent reservoir evaluation of Lakshmi and Gauri Field (India)) to verify operator’s claims, on behalf of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas. These were discovered one of the biggest fields for Cairns India.

o Worked on CB-OS-2 study (includes Ambe field) to interpret anomalous log behavior. Study identified the presence of iron rich minerals that was later verified by core studies o Monitored the progress of Ravva development and independently reviewed the Petrophysical results claimed by operator.

o Conducted unique reservoir evaluation study for Ravva Field (India) with Cased-hole sonic waveforms for sonic-resistivity inversion and porosity, facies & flushed zone saturation to support production plan, where openhole logs were missing.
