Studied the effect of drugs progesterone, terbutaline and leptin alone or in combination with the positive control Betamethasone upon NCI-H441 cell line for surfactant production.

Performed collaborative clinical project with OB/GYN at Miami Valley Hospital, to study the effect of tocolytics (Indomethacin, nifedipine and magnesium sulfate) on alveolar type II cells

Studied the effect of Terbutaline, Progesterone and Leptin on increase in surfactant production in alveolar type II cells (Pneumonocytes) as an in-vitro study for estimating the beneficial drug levels in premature babies and others prone to respiratory distress syndrome (RDS).
