Exp. steam turbines junction planes repairs (surfaces preparation, surfacing, machining and heat treatment), etc.

-Direct, oversee and provide guidance and support during routine assets shutdowns, such as:

Machines inspections (steam turbines, gearboxes, compressors, and generator). Exp. Inspection and controlling of machines’ sets and subset (journal bearings, thrust bearings, servomotors, steam inlet valves, stop valves, speed regulator, couplings, gears, compressors sealing systems etc.).

Hot and cold tuning and checking of machines’ adjustments. Exp. Bearings’ clearances, probes gaps, gearbox teeth contact, backlash, soft foot, steam inlet valves adjustments, etc.

Lub oil systems maintenance. Exp. Oils tanks, gear and centrifugal oil pumps, accumulators, control valves, pipe systems, filters, water separators,, run down oil systems, coolers, etc.

Turbines’ casings and steam systems maintenance. Exp. piping and piping fittings servicing

(valves, check valves, safety valves, etc), welding works and pipes flushing, heat insulation, etc.

& other tasks. Exp. machines alignment (Laser and hand precision measuring tools (micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, gauge blocks, etc), pipes accosting), etc.

-Conduct vibration surveys, plots analysis and rotors balancing. Exp. Routes analysis, site-balancing.

-Supervise and cooperate with other maintenance teams (electrical and instrumentation teams) during electrical and instrumentation set up and troubleshooting operation. Exp. vibration measuring systems (probes, cables, proximitors, vibration monitors), temperature and pressure measuring systems, control cabinets, generator insulation, etc.

-Conduct and assistance in rotors maintenance and check works. Exp. journals check, collars and coupling hubs disassembly, reassembly and check, mechanical overspeed trigger system check and adjustment, etc.

-Inspect finished and ongoing works to assure job quality, including off-site work performed by vendors or contractors at their facilities.

-Development and sketching of technical details of any necessary improvements and repairs during the adjustment operations and reassembly of sets and subset of turbo-machinery.

-Assistance in mechanical parts and rotors non-destructive examinations. Exp. rotor journals crack penetrant testing, rotors deflection check, run-outs check, gears cracks check with fluorescent magnetic particle testing, etc.
