oHealth Care Specialist/Combat Medic: 2006-2012

Provided care and over sight for 200 soldiers as senior medic. Supervised 4-5 subordinate medics to include facilitating junior medics’ continuing education training. Ensured patient safety and proper medical management was conducted at all times. Performed medical care and administrative functions to ensure soldiers were healthy, including “fit for duty” determinations. Acted as the first responder for all acute injuries.

Combat Lifesaver Instructor- a four-day course conducted every month for soldiers of different specialties. The course focused on life saving procedures used in acute care settings with an emphasis on battlefield trauma.

Medical assistant for doctors and physician assistants in Troop Medical Centers: obtained vital signs, performed histories and physicals, and provided preliminary diagnoses with treatment recommendations for the supervising providers.
