HSBC RETAIL BROKERAGE AND WEALTH MANAGEMENT – IT MANAGER (may/2013 – present) Managing from planning through completion the homebroker and wealth management platforms. Managing a team of over 16 technical staff locally and responsible for international initiatives involving 40+ professionals from six different countries. In charge of IT budget management (CAPEX/OPEX).

Key Projects and Achievements:

- Evaluation and definition of system code, process and architecture with the homebroker vendor, to assure more than 500.000 transactions and 35.000 database clients, promoting reduction over 80% in system load and ensuring 100% of availability rate. This meant a reversion from the scenario of 25 hours per month, in trading hours, of system downtime.

- Acquisition of technology knowledge, source code and versioning from homebroker operation and correction, generating a proper domain of platform tools and ensuring continuously running even in case of vendor unavailability.

- Technical and operational structuring for changing the homebroker solution, evaluating, accessing needs, recommending the best alternative to deploy the project. Extra care in building a solid mitigation plan to addressing all the impact on different departments (architecture, system, business). The cost of project is estimated at around US$3,8 million over the 2,5 year period of implementation.

- In charge of a Transformational Project of tropicalization the system suite used to Wealth Management (4 million of clients database) in the company, acting as the local focal point. We tailor the sales process to the particularities of Brazilian law and regulations (CVM - Securities Commission of Brazil). The proposed solution affected the legacy systems, infrastructure, security, governance and over 2.000 business managers system users. In this Project, I spent 20 days in Hong Kong and facilitated the interaction among more than 40 professionals from 6 different countries allocated to this initiative, centralizing the information and decisions needed. I worked with a Project Office (PO) following the SDLC Method (Software Development Life Cycle).

OCTO (rico.com.vc) – Retail Brokerage – IT MANAGER (Jan/2011 – may/2013) Worked on a startup company (OCTO) in charge of structuring IT area (infrastructure/ Telecom, support services, middleware, development and facilities), besides the recruitment and selection of employees. Responsible for definition and negotiation with all suppliers. I have also deployed the homebroker solution and the evolution of the platform using internal development and agile methodology (SCRUM), work with a streamlined team of professionals (6 developers), but daring and quick. Key Projects and Achievements:

- Planning and execution of a switching plan to migrate a database of 12.000 clients to a new company. The method to migrate was the Big Bang (that involves getting rid of the existing system and transferring all users to the new system simultaneously), and had no impact to operations.

Link Investiments – Institutional and Retail Brokerage – DEVELOPMENT LEADER (may/2008 – jan/2011) Responsible for the retail homebroker system development team, a new company operating area. Manage 7 direct reports (one remote in RJ). Act as a focal point between Business and IT áreas, creating and implementing projects, according to strategic needs of the Company.

Key Projects and Achievements:

- Assumption of the website redesign project due to problems with the vendor, changing conduction to minimize the effect of the delay and ensuring delivery with internal developing team.

- Project to replace the homebroker solution, including a wide-ranging appraisal of cost-efficient solutions, nationally and internationally, concluded that the best thing would be the internal development solution. This resulted in significant savings on OPEX/CAPEX budget, in addition to delivery of other projects linked to the system, and increased the operational efficiency.
