JOB DESCRIPTION:
Operate x-ray, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, Computerized Tomography (CT Scanner) to produce radiographs or anatomic images of the body for the diagnosis of the Radiologist of diseases or injury.
Record and process patient data.
Perform basic verification and quality control checks on radiographic and film processing equipments.
Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patient during the radiographic examination.
Explain procedures, position patient and equipment and apply radiation protection measures.
Operates Linear Accelerator (LINAC) machine to administer radiation treatment prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
Perform CT simulation of the patient to be treated by using CT Scanner.
Check radiation therapy equipments to ensure proper operation.
Assist Radiation Oncologist with the preparation of radiation treatment plan.
Provide appropriate care and monitoring of the patients physical and psychological well being during the entire treatment course.
Perform fluoroscopic imaging during brachytherapy procedures.
Assist the Medical Physicist during treatment planning and brachytherapy procedures.
Operates the control console during the treatment delivery in brachytherapy.
