Technologies Used
Java, EJB 3.0, JMS, JPA, DROOLS, JBOSS, Testng and PG SQL
Project Description:
AC Nielsen is one of the largest client in US, are monitors the television for their content track. Media monitoring system is platform project of Nielsen. MMS contains different modules like Crediting, Shared service, Data service, external reference, Collection service (CCS) and MARS reference. Crediting is one of the vital module of MMS. Crediting actually gets the Meter time line from CCS, pass on to different components of Crediting like UT, VOD, Watermark matching, FD, Final FD, Linear and Asset sig matching for Crediting the Signatures and watermarks. Once crediting will apply time line will sent to Rules service (part of Crediting) for smoothing and rounding the Credited objects. Once crediting will be done final Crediting TimeLine will be sent to downstream system for further analysis (UI)

Title : nGenius Subscriber Intelligence (nSI)
Customer: Teliasonera, Verizon, ATT and Metro PCS
Period: Sep’10 to Oct ‘12
Technologies Used
Java, Apache Log4J, Apache Tomcat 6.0 and NetScout servers
Project Description:
nGenius Subscriber intelligence (nSI) is one of the NetScout product. NetScout is the product based company, develops the set of products for Trouble shooting, analyzing the performance of Telecom network like GSM, GPRS, CDMA2K and LTE (4G). NetScout delivers the set of products in the form of suit to network operators like Infinistream (IS), nSI, CDM, Sniffer and Performance Manager (PM). Infinistream actually monitors network elements (deployment of network actually Telecom net work) and generate XDR. Sniffer will be used to analysis actually packets. PM is the main product, customers use for analysis and it will interact with all other products and finally shows analysis of actually network. nSI the is product will interact with IS and collect the XDR’s and shows the analysis to end user. Like end user will provide the subscriber Id (IMSI, MSISDN and IMEI etc) and observe all its transactions happened between the mining start and end time.
Contribution:
Participated completely at LTE vertical development in nSI product
Participated development of subscriber analysis for LTE vertical
Participated development of failure analysis for LTE vertical
Participated development of Direct data analysis for LTE vertical
LTE (4G) Architecture:
LTE (Long term evaluation) is 4th generation IP based telecom technology. Now a day’s customers getting to increase day by day for all the telecom operators, so operators has to handle scalable customers with existing network minimal expensive, so operators has to monitor their network what is the work load on which element, and which place actually cause happens for network failure etc. LTE is the latest technology many telecom operators are used and some more trying to use like Alcatel lucent and Huawei technologies developed and currently AT&T, Teliasonera, Metro PCS and Verizon currently deployed in market. LTE is the latest technologies support maximum band width, less latency and less expensive for operator network deployment along with legacy technologies support like GSM, GPRS UMTS.
LTE architecture contains different network elements eNodeB, MME, HSS, S-GW, P-GW and PDN like other GSM technologies. LTE support S1-MME, S11 and S11 interfaces, interface is nothing but logical ling between the network elements. LTE architecture uses different protocols like EMM, ESM, S1AP, Diameter and GTPv2. EMM, ESM and S1AP are the protocols used between eNodeB to MME and GTPv2 used between MME to S-GW and Diameter protocol used between MME to HSS. Diameter is the transaction based protocol, used for Authentication (AAA) purpose.
nSI product can be used to trouble shoot network and will perform three different types of analysis in the form of work flows. First one is Subscriber analysis, user provide the subscriber id or * (Wildcard) and start and end time is mandatory parameters then nSI will provide subscriber analysis with all details like end user address, APN, source, destination, bearer id etc. and provide all the events happened for that subscriber and how relative time for each event and how many packets, bytes of data transferred. Second one is failure analysis work flow similar to Subscriber analysis will provide the all failure sessions of all protocols based on user passing the mandatory parameters like start and end time with optional parameters like APN based, error code, End user address, protocol type and subscriber id etc. Both subscriber and failure analysis first launch control sessions from that app analysis. Third work flow is Direct data analysis which will launch App analysis directly with user input.
LTE Protocols:
EMM, ESM and S1AP are the control protocols used between eNodeB and MME elements, Diameter is transaction based protocol used for authentication between MME and HSS, in similar manner for inter technologies SGSN to HSS. GTPv2c is control protocol used between MME and S-GW. SGi is the interface used between P-GW and could network for actually data transferred. nSI support different types App protocol like HTTP, FTP, Email, DNS, SIP, GTPv1U etc
