Bachelor’s Thesis :

Development of an application that allows communication to, from and between Atmel Raven sensors using IPv6. Intensive study of the sensor in question and the Contiki operating system were accomplished. Subsequent creation of a firmware that enables such communication was also completed. The final report and its presentation before a jury was the last step of the thesis. The C language and the WinAVR and AVR Studio IDE's were used. Other projects worth mentioning :

- Development of an application that enables the online selling of products in Java language. The communication is done between a server and a client. The second phase of the project was to convert what had previously been done to Java RMI. The IDE JBuilder 2007 was used.

- Designing the model and development of the infrastructure and capabilities of a database. The situation that was chosen for this project was a dairy production. Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express was used.

- Development of an application that manages the supply of electricity to its customers. The Java language was used with the NetBeans IDE.

- Development of an application with multiple functions of a personal agenda. The C language was used.

In Linux and Mac OS, the terminal for coding is often used but normal use of other applications are within my capacities as well. In terms of programming languages I consider myself to be an advanced C programmer, an intermediate Java and C++ programmer and a beginner in C# and PHP. Artistic skills and competences Learned to play the piano and the violin as a young boy in music school. Photography is also a passion of mine.

Other skills and competences I was a boy-scout for a number of years in the U.S. I also practiced many sports namely basketball, baseball and tennis. Participated yearly in conferences concerning computer science as well as other subjects, held in the University of Beira Interior. I enjoy long rides on my motorcycle on the countryside and also attending AIESEC conferences. I participated in the international program called Erasmus where I stayed for one semester in the city of Bialystok, Poland.
