CSIR - National Aerospace Laboratory, Bangalore, India
SCIENTIST
Date: September 2011 to December 2012
1 year 3 months
ENVIRONMENT
CSIR - National Aerospace Laboratory is a Research Centre for Aerospace field under the CSIR India and I was working in Structures Technology Division as Scientist in the field of Active Vibration control and smart dynamics structures.
My team was having 3 people and I was handling entire Active vibration control (Testing and Simulation) for real time structures (Including Wing and Turbine).
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Active Vibration Control of Real Aircraft wing using Adaptive Algorithms
It’s always difficult to do a real time active vibration on full scale wing since it was difficult to identify location for actuators and suitable controller for the same.I was responsible for identifying the location for sensors / Actuators as well as developing algorithm using MATLAB and dSPACE.
We successfully did a testing on a Real time wing and demonstrated the need of AVC in Real time.
Active Vibration Control of Running Aircraft Turbine using Adaptive Algorithms
The AVC was applied on the Mounting location of the turbine using Stack actuators and AVC was demonstrated for low cruise speed of the turbine and this was the first time in INDIA.I was responsible for developing a control model and algorithm using MATLAB and dSPACE.
FxLMS Algorithm with Feedback Neutralizations for Active Vibration Control
The Conventional AVC algorithms are a having a reference signal to calculate the ANTI signal but due to feedback from ANTI signal, the reference signal may lost its original characteristics, so I adopted a concept and developed a algorithm for having better AVC and demonstrated using MATLAB.
