Experience:

Aug. 2014 to Present: Team Leader, Mixed Staffing. Working for Roskam Baking. Responsible for production employees, and maintaining

quality standards in full line food production facility. During tenure, have been part of production team that has reduced scrap by 40%, also decreased OSHA recordable incidents by 24%. Also worked to increased employee retention and production throughput via working to change informational environment.

June 2006 to Feb 2014, Ranir World Wide, started as a machine operator, learning to successfully operate several different winders and could maintain 100% efficiency for all machines. In February of 2008 was promoted to the position of Op 3, I handled the floss operation for the 3rd shift and also filled in for team leader in his absence. In January of 2009 was promoted to the position of Team Leader for 3rd shift contract floss. As team leader have been successful in building a strong team for 3rd shift, have a good record of developing people via cross training and direct interaction. The shift has increased production and reduced quality issues. Responsible for meeting department adherence to FDA code 21 CFR sections 210 and 211. I also work consistently with inventory to insure accuracy and to monitor for any material shortages. Leading the CIP program for Contract Floss, also handle the daily production reports and the scrap tracking system for contract floss cell. Interacted with warehouse and material handlers to insure availability and inventory accuracy. Company is FDA compliant

April 1997 to May 2005 Sara Lee Bakery Group, Grand Rapids, MI. Was initially hired as a machine operator, developed the skill necessary to become a relief/break person whose duties were to operate all pieces of equipment throughout the bakery to insure continuous production. In April of 2000 was promoted to production supervisor, my duties including the supervision of bun production line for 2nd shift. Parts of this included insuring quality standard, meeting production goals both for on time and quantity, reduction of scrap, and meeting both regulatory standards as well as customer standards for product quality. In November of 2003 accepted the position of sanitation manger. Responsible for maintaining the cleaning team for the bakeries equipment, job also included swab testing to insure cleanliness, handling of 3rd party audits to insure the bakery maintained its Superior Rating. I was move back to production in April of 2004 with the position of Production Manager for fresh dough business. With this was responsible for scheduling of production needs to meet transportation demands, maintaining product quality, and working with the union for employee relations for the 64 production people. In June of 2005 was promoted to Compliance Manager, this job entailed handling all operational functions of the bakery, I supervised production, sanitation, transportation and warehouse. Through this handled planning and availability for production BOM’s. Involved in this was meeting and exceeding all regulatory requirements, including DOT, FDA, Dept. of Agriculture, AIB, and Interstate Commerce. I was team lead for the Lean Manufacturing initiative, directed program to reduce SKU’s, change production schedules and minimize changes to improve overall efficiency, reduce on hand inventory and reduce costs of ingredients.
