Work experience

February 2010 – onwards Production and Maintenance Manager Trevipapel, Lda – Paper converting industry :: www.trevipapel.com From February 2010 develops its functions coordinating the production and maintenance department of Trevipapel Lda, ISO 9001 certified company, one of the biggest Portuguese paper converting plant, which includes 75 production workers, 4 warehouse operators and 7 maintenance technicians.

Main responsibilities:

Study and propose equipment investments;

Lean manufacturing start-up activities (SMED and 5S);

Select and evaluate suppliers and their performance;

Evaluate KPIs established for performance follow up;

Manage the production human resources, including work organization, safety rules and training programmes;

Propose and follow up of the MRP plan;

Manage the preventive and curative maintenance activities. October 2005 - January 2010 Production and Maintenance Manager PREBEL, SA – Precast industry :: www.prebel.pt

From October 2005 to January 2010, developed its functions coordinating the production and maintenance department of Prebel SA, ISO 9001 certified company, which includes 50 production workers distributed into three concrete block production units, one ready mix concrete plant, one rock processing unit, one pretension concrete beams unit and all related logistic equipment. Main responsibilities:

Study and propose equipment investments;

Select and evaluate suppliers and their performance;

Propose and follow up KPIs;

Propose and follow up of the MRP plan;

Propose and develop new products;

Works client follow-up;

Manage the preventive and curative maintenance activities. March 1996 – October 2005 Industrial Manager (Production and Maintenance) EFAPEL, SA – Electrical equipment manufacturer :: www.efapel.pt On March 1996 was hired by EFAPEL, SA, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EMAS and OSHAS 18001 certified company, has a production engineer. On November 1996 was promoted for Production and Maintenance Director and became responsible for 160 workers management, distributed into the following sectors: plastic injection, metal stamping, metal surface treatments, treatment plant wastewater, finished product assembly lines, maintenance and warehouses.

Main responsibilities:

Lean manufacturing implementation leader (Cell, Error Proofing, Jidoka, Kaizen, TPM, SMED, VSM);

Study and propose equipment investments;

Develop and follow-up assembly lines implementation;

Select and evaluate suppliers and their performance;

Elaborate and implement written procedures according with the master plan of the ISO standards;

Cooperate with the R&D department;

Cooperate with the logistic and procurement department;

Elaborate and implement the Emergency Plan;
