Office Designer/Checker With Auto-Cadd 2004 (2D), Intergraph Smart Plant (3D), Petro Chem, oil refinery expansion “Tar Sands Project”. Structural design and checking of steel modules for a plant in Canada. Complete plant of “Modular Design”, divided into rectangular modules connected laterally as well as vertically, designed and assembled completely including piping, instrumentation, mechanical equipment and electrical. Then disassembled, transported and re-assembled at a distant site in another country. Checked for Fit-Form and Function as well as Interference Avoidance. Design structure included tanks, walkways, ladders, grating, concrete foundations with steel piles in perma-frost conditions. Pipe supports from floor, overhead, and pipe racks. AUSTIN BROCKENBROUGH AND ASSOC. INC. - RICHMOND, VA

Inspector for the Varina-Enon I-295 Bridge. Was responsible for the underwater excavation and placement of the armor stone for the two river tower piers. Duties included daily reports and a final report for the project. Attended milestone meetings and various schedule meetings.

PROCTOR AND GAMBLE, INC. - MEHOOPANY, PA (Contract Assignment)

Project Coordinator - Five installations of Measurex Scanners on paper lines, conveyors for a “no touch conveyor” system from machine to warehouse. Installed a 100,000 gal. S.S.S.L. Storage Tank, and numerous other projects in the plant. Maintained time line charts and schedules for the various construction jobs and activities on each job.

WILBUR SMITH AND ASSOC. - RICHMOND, VA

Field Designer - Worked in office for six months and in the field for six months. In the field, I surveyed and assisted the field personal with design and accumulating information for the office personal. I was an Inspector for the construction of bridges, shopping centers, housing developments, highways, intersections and parking.

SHEARON HARRIS-1, 2, 3, 4 - Apex, NC - Construction Engineer, Pipe Support design and Installation, This plant was new construction. I was a System Engineer, and was responsible for system completion to support plant start-up activities. I was also a supervisor for the night shift with up to twenty-five Engineers and Designers working for me. One Field Engineer was assigned five to seven crews with six men per crew. WPPSS-1, 4 - Richland, WA - Construction Engineer, Pipe Support Design. field support for craft for field interference resolution problems including redesign if needed. This job had one Field Engineer for eleven crews with five men per crew. I was the night shift Hanger Supervisor on this job and I had as many as six other Engineers and Designers working under my supervision. (06/81 - 12/81)

SURRY-1, 2 - Surry, VA - Outage, Steam Generator Replacement, Pipe Support Design, Construction Engineer, Design of various types of supports for nuclear piping systems, installation support for craft including suiting up (live plant environment), assistance included redesign if needed. This job was in a hostile environment, working to a very tight schedule. This job was the first Steam Generator Replacement in the U.S.A. it was completed on time and on budget. (01/80 - 05/80)
