Employment History

Independent Contract Consultant February 2014 to July 2015

Currently working on BHP Billiton’s Eagle Ford shale drilling project in South Texas. Duties have included positions as both night and lead drilling supervisor on extended reach horizontal wells to 20,000’+. Responsibilities include supervision of all facets of drilling activities, logistical coordination of all services and supplies to support same, as well as precise and timely documentation of all phases and events included within the scope of operations. Duties also include implementation and documentation of a very rigid HSE regimen and permitting system for all phases of drilling operations. I have maintained an exemplary operational, HSE, and regulatory compliance record to date. Accomplishments during my tenure with BHP include being a team member or leader for several pacesetting operations Including: 3 consecutive company-wide pacesetters for drilling surface holes to 3,800’, company wide pacesetter for drilling the fastest intermediate hole section, and the company wide pacesetter for wells deeper than 18,500’. Well was completed in 7.8 days from spud to rig release.

Independent Contract Consultant May 2013 to Jan 2014

Experience encompassed working on Warren E & P’s Wilmington Town Unit Project in Wilmington, Ca. Duties included supervision of Company owned rig conducting drilling operations. Wells ranged from 5,000’ to 8,000’.

All directional programs included short radius, highly deviated or horizontal target lines at TD, with significant collision risks and significant well-bore stability issues during the drilling phase. Operational experience included application of a wide range of directional tools including GWD tools, rotary steerable tools, and BHI reservoir navigation system.

Independent Contract Consultant September 2012 to May 2013

Operations included a very challenging horizontal re-drill in the Fillmore field in Ventura County, CA to 16,000’. Duties included lead DSM position for all drilling operations on well from start to finish. Re-drilled section, including the horizontal interval, was the first drilled with Baker Azi-Track tool in steering mode 100% from kick off to TD. Entire re-drilled section was accomplished in one trip after milling window. Well was drilled to exact specifications and was completed on schedule and within the tight cost constraints affected by the very conservative AFE assigned for operations.

Concurrently worked internationally on rotational schedule In Belize, Central America. Duties included all previously stated responsibilities normally associated with a Drilling Supervisor’s position. Drilling operations included remote location “Wildcat” prospects. Depths for this three well package ranged from 8,000’ to 11,000, with moderate directional work. Wells were drilled in environmentally sensitive areas under the close scrutiny of the regulatory agencies of the Government of Belize. Lack of resources and infrastructure made this a very challenging undertaking with regards to cost and lead time for materials and equipment. Innovative thinking and long range planning were a “must have” to successfully complete this project. Over the duration of the project we encountered minimal downtime due to logistics and equipment issues. This project was completed in April 2013.

Independent Contract Consultant Feb 2012 to Sept 2012

DSM for Seneca Resources for an 8 well package drilling in the Lost Hills and Sespe fields in Southern California. Project involved extensive directional work and severe lost circulation issues. Wells were all medium depth (5000’ to 7000’). Project was completed within budget and scheduling parameters without any major complications. Experience also included 16 well package of shallow depth wells from 2000’ to 5000’ for Hathaway LLC located in Bakersfield, Ca. These wells included several short radius horizontals with 600’ to 1000’ lateral sections. Extensive directional work was required and severe lost circulation issues were encountered. This project was also completed within AFE and scheduling parameters with no significant complications. Worked project from spud of first well through completion phase of final well.

All projects were completed within stipulated AFE, accident free, and with no significant incidents.
