Responsible for engineering and logistics of outsourcing of the Amplimite product from the USA to India, which produces over $2 million of connectors per year. Coordinated with project engineer to develop the product migration plan and also conducted training for the managers and engineers.

Supervision for 100 plus molds and working with both inside and outside vendors. Evaluate and recommend changes to existing mold tooling, processing and mold designs.

Coordinate manufacturing process activities to insure manufacturing realizes maximum capacity and cost objectives for the department.

Managed the engineering requirements for a team of 100 people and 37 molding machines which produce state-of-the art electronic connectors utilizing high performance thermoplastic engineering resins. This operation generates approximately $100 million in sales annually.

Supervised and managed the transfer of entire molding operation from Lowell, NC to Rock Hill, SC.

Initiate and evaluate engineering changes when required to improve manufacturing situations or to meet changes requested by the customer.

Responsible for sampling existing complex molds to determine the feasibility and cost of product additions or engineering changes. Directed mold/material change or process changes that result in reduced mold maintenance, product cost and scrap reduction.

Provided technical expertise for training programs for the mold technicians and actively participated in meetings, conference and seminars related to TE molding capabilities.

Completed the two year long AMP rotational engineering development program. Worked in the Automotive, Transportation, Communication and Industrial Business unit of AMP Inc. Completed three major projects: criteria for injection molding machine selection, mold flow design of connector and the design of an experiment to reduce warpage of connector for transportation group.
