STRATEGY AND PROGRAM DESIGN

Designed strategy for total absence management for 3000+ employees at world’s largest pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. Successfully executed internal disability case management program, resulting in a reduction in Short-Term Disability (STD) program costs.

Designed and implemented transitional return to work program to promote safe return to work for employees on work restrictions. Program led to a 15% decrease in disability durations, contributed to a reduction in total injury rate, and was adopted as best practice for all U.S. locations.

Developed & executed strategy to reduce employee health risk by successfully implementing pre-work screen program for a national network of 40 Distribution Centers.

Designed long-term total absence strategy for a Fortune 500 company.

Led a cross functional team to develop a Global Epidemic Response Plan for a Fortune 500 company.

PROCESS IMPROVEMENT

Developed & implemented methodology for identifying and recording essential job functions for US employees for the world’s leading producer of breakfast cereal. This tool has led to consistent decreases in lost work time and improvement in process for providing accommodations under the ADA.

Designed and implemented program for managing work related incidents for Sales and Distribution Center employees nationwide, which resulted in $600,000 decrease in claims costs within first 6 months of program implementation.

Developed electronic process for tracking non-occupational work restrictions, reducing organizational risk, and providing consistency in managing workplace restrictions.

Completed project thesis (LEAN type project) on monthly random drug screen performance, improving compliance rate from 60% to 95% within a six month time period,

Implemented internal auditing tool measuring case management decisions on STD claim durations, resulting in improvement in case manager performance, from a “C” score to an “A” score.

OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

Developed marketing strategy promoting health and wellness events, resulting in increased employee participation rate on annual health questionnaire 58%, to 79%.

Initiated RFP and led implementation for global duty of care vendor.

Developed customer service survey measuring success of wellness physicals, consistently achieving greater than 95% responses in “exceeds expectations” range.

Planned and managed renovation of occupational health services space, resulting in improved physical appearance and utilization of space for targeted health promotions.

Led implementation of tobacco free workplace initiative, exceeding timeframe for implementation; resulting in a tobacco free campus.

Developed process for managing worker’s comp. claims for 3 manufacturing sites, resulting in consistency of claims management and improved customer relations.
