FINAL YEAR PROJECT

Title: Design and Analysis of Sequential Transmission system for Tractor Mounted Rotavator

Supervised By: Salman Sagheer Warsi

Description: The project contains modeling and analysis of existing design of rotavator. The main focus of analysis is on bending and surface stress analysis of bevel gears and spur gear train in existing design of rotavator. The basic objective of the project is to convert single speed rotavator into multi speed rotavator. Sequential transmission is used to achieve this purpose. Spur gears are used in transmission system. After modification its modeling is completed on PTC creo which contain modeling of sequential transmission gearbox with rotavator. ANSYS is used for analysis to find the bending, surface and torsional stresses on shafts, spur gears and bevel gears of rotavator. Results of ANSYS were verified by manual calculations.
